Delivery & Returns


Delivery is £8.99 per order


There is no minimum order quantity, you are free to order as little or as much as you wish. However do bear in mind that delivery charges may apply. (See below)


Most orders are shipped within 24 hours of ordering, many on the same day (if received before 12 noon) and all orders will be acknowledged via e-email once they have been submitted. A signature is required by the carrier upon delivery. If no one is in at the delivery address a card is left requesting that the customer contacts the courier company to arrange re-delivery. If the courier receives no instructions within three days the parcel will be returned to Sheldon's Wines. We are able to re-despatch the goods, however this service attracts a re-despatch charge of £8.99.

Item Availability

If for any reason the item you order is out of stock, we will contact you immediately to either offer you an alternative or advise you when the ordered item will be back in stock.


All prices on the website are per bottle and include VAT. Please remember this when comparing prices. Prices are subject to market and currency fluctuations and VAT.


If the incorrect wine is delivered we will replace your bottle with the correct wine. We are unable to refund a purchase because you did not like the wine, however if a bottle is corked or damaged, do please call us and we will endeavour to replace or refund the bottle.

Legal Ordering Age

Sheldon's Wines will not sell to anyone under the legal drinking age of 18 years.

Force Majeure

The Company will not be liable for failure to meet agreed obligations due to prevailing circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Overseas Orders

We are only able to dispatch wine abroad by special arrangement. Please call us and we will be happy to arrange a quote. Any customs taxes/charges are the responsibility of the buyer.


Customers are requested to carefully check all goods at the time of delivery. The delivery or carriers note should be signed noting any shortages or breakage. We regret we cannot accept claims for shortages or breakages not recorded in this way. In any case claims must be made to Sheldon's Wines within three days of delivery.

Sheldon's Wines

We take considerable pride in the accuracy and diligence of its employees and will endeavour to satisfy customer requirements wherever possible as far as the law permits. However The Company shall not be liable for consequential loss or damage in any respect.


All contracts are governed by English law and jurisdiction.


The goods shall remain the seller's property until the buyer has paid all sums due from it to the seller. Until that time the buyer shall hold them as bailee, store them in such a way that they can be identified as the seller's property and keep them separate from the buyer's own property and the property of any other person. Although the goods remain the seller's property until paid for, they shall be at the buyer's risk from time of delivery and the buyer shall insure them against loss or damage accordingly. In the event of such loss or damage shall hold the proceeds of such insurance on behalf of the seller as trustee for the seller. In accepting delivery of the goods the buyer undertakes to indemnify the seller against any losses and expenses incurred by the seller, arising from the buyer's breach, howsoever caused.

Customers have a seven day right of withdrawal from mail order contracts. Notice of cancellation must be given in writing and will be effective upon receipt at Sheldon's Wines, 6 New Street, Shipston-on-Stour, CV36 4EN. Please note that in the event of a  cancelled order, a charge may be levied to cover the cost of collecting the goods.
